Shut down food inspection labs...and create a new panel.

Politics does not enter into this.  Of course not.

Just interesting that, as the FDA prepares to shut down food inspection labs nationwide (including the very-effective lab in San Francisco, bastion of liberalism and anti-Bush sentiment), "President Bush on Wednesday established a Cabinet-level panel to recommend steps to better guarantee the safety of food and other products shipped into the United States."  That's from an AP story on the new panel's creation.
